Laurasona Leigh, PhD, MPH
Dr. Laurasona Leigh has expertise in data collection, tracking, and analysis in infectious diseases; women’s health; and global health. She has disseminated findings from her research and evaluation through varied media including graphic representations, reports, and presentations at national conferences. Dr. Leigh has created evidence-based educational materials for consumers on public health topics including sexually transmitted infections, vaccinations, and other infectious diseases. She has also developed/updated and revised public health protocols and procedures that have been implemented by public health agencies.
Dr. Leigh earned her Ph.D. in Health Education from the University of Toledo and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from The Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health.
Prior to joining The Bizzell Group, Dr. Leigh held internships with several federal agencies, including SAMHSA’s Division of Pharmacologic Therapies, St. Louis Veterans Affairs Women’s Clinic, Veterans Affairs Occupational Health and Gems Program, Franklin County Public Health Office of Infectious Disease, and Toledo-Lucas County Health Department Office of Epidemiology.
At Bizzell, Dr. Leigh serves as a Public Health Advisor and has arranged accreditation body site visits, analyzed accreditation body survey reports, and facilitated training.
